Big Wave launches first mobile app for Leisure industry

Leisure marketing agency Big Wave Media, has developed a mobile app for Gloucester-based Aspire Sports and Cultural Trust.

The Aspire app covers its three trust sites; GL1 Leisure Centre, Oxstalls Tennis Centre and Xpress Fitness Cheltenham.

Delivering a mix of live timetables, special offers, news, virtual tours, in-app booking and site info the app is available on iTunes and Google Play.

It is the first mobile app project Big Wave Media has been part of having added the new service to its offering last year.

The mobile app services allow trusts, councils, clubs and facilities to have a bespoke branded mobile app for iPhone and Android smartphones.

Using a content management system (CMS), clients are able to update the app contents in real-time, making them perfect for the delivery of exercise class and swim timetables, up-to-date news, events and offers.

Head of PR and digital services, Simon Beer, said “The apps allow us to grow our digital offerings and keep a focus on traditional media with both areas syncing seamlessly to offer clients a one-stop shop for marketing requirements. 2013 will see us increase this with a number of new marketing products and services.”

Big Wave Media recently added a number of social media solutions to its services including custom built Facebook applications, profile branding and full channel management solutions with more projects in the pipeline.
